John I. Hense, Jr.
John Hense is a Managing Director and Practice Leader of CC Capital Advisors, the Kansas City-based investment banking arm of Country Club Bank. Utilizing over 30 years of diversified financial experience, Hense manages corporate finance projects in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, financial and strategic planning, and general business advisory.
Prior to joining Capital Advisors, Hense was a shareholder and principal at Christenberry Collet Investment Bankers where he advised on over $1 billion of corporate transactions in his 14 years with the firm. Past experience includes eight years at Hallmark Cards in several finance functions including the Corporate Development group where he was responsible for acquisitions and divestitures. Previous work experience also includes two years as a bond trader for a regional brokerage firm, property manager for a real estate partnership, and owner/operator of a popular fitness center during graduate school.
Hense earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas, where he currently serves on the faculty in the School of Business. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies and currently serves on several boards including Pegasus Capital Management, Tower Wealth Management, Country Club Financial Services, Inc., KU School of Business, St. Agnes Catholic Church, and the St. Lawrence Catholic Center.
