This webinar will be presented by David Farris, Relationship Manager Asset Management Group with Country Club Bank. David spent the initial part of his career consulting for community banks and S&L’s. His focus in the community bank space included mortgage-backed securities (MBS) and managing interest rate risk using interest rate derivatives. Building on this experience, David spent the next 19 years trading and investing in agency and non-agency MBS products. Most recently, he was a partner at Credentia Group, LLC, a private hedge fund. At Credentia, he traded non-agency MBS as well as financial equities to manage investment strategies, risk, while illustrating how the firms funds compared to alternative investments on a risk-adjusted basis.
Since joining the Asset Management Group with Country Club Bank, he is able to apply his vast experience and background to benefit its community bank clients. His responsibilities include providing asset liability management advice on interest rate risk, liquidity risk, investment and funding programs as well as overall balance sheet strategies. David is also a registered Investment Sales Officer with the Capital Markets Group, a Division of Country Club Bank. In this capacity he provides investment portfolio management and sales to Institutional and retail accounts.
