The first six months of 2017 proved the middle market’s most productive first half in 10 years. Deals completed in the period totaled 5,260 according to data from Thomson Reuters, representing a 12% increase over the 4,694 deals that closed in the first six months of 2016 - the strongest first six months of the year since pre-recession 2007.
