Lonnie Harris

Present Position

Executive Vice President dually employed by Country Club Bank and Asset Management Group, Inc. (AMG), a company that offers fee-based asset/liability services. Lonnie advises AMG clients on balance sheet management as well as institutional sales for Country Club Bank. Lonnie holds the following securities licenses:

  • Series 7 General Securities Representative
  • Series 52 MSRB Municipal Securities Registered Representative
  • Series 66 Registered Investment Advisor

Banking History

Lonnie has years of successful experience in fixed income investing. Initially, he worked with high net worth individuals developing estate plans and fixed income investment portfolios at UMB Bank in Kansas City. He then made the transition to UMB’s Investment Banking Division where he serviced community banks and insurance companies.

Lonnie left UMB in 1995 to co-found AMG. Lonnie was one of the partners responsible for developing the customer base, trading and producing custom investment reports.

Currently, AMG focuses solely on asset/liability management. AMG offers a complete package of ALM services where Lonnie consults with community banks, advising them on the management of interest rate risk, pricing, balance sheet construction, and liquidity, among other particular balance sheet issues.

As an employee of Country Club Bank, Lonnie combines his portfolio management and asset/liability management expertise to help manage community bank's balance sheets and to broaden the current client base.

Lonnie has written many articles over the years for various banking periodicals. Lonnie's education includes a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri, and an undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
