Dean Lanier

Dean Lanier is Executive Vice President of Country Club Trust Company, a division of First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO). He serves in the capacity of Trust Counsel and handles a number of client relationships. Dean oversees all qualified retirement plan administration for the Trust Company and is involved with much of the special needs trust administration and closely held business administration.

In his role as Trust Counsel, Dean is also involved in many complex legal and fiduciary issues that Country Club Trust Company encounters in trust administration.

Dean joined the organization in 1994 as a trust officer at the then-sister bank of Country Club Bank, Leavenworth National Bank & Trust Company in Leavenworth, Kansas.

Before beginning his trust career over 25 years ago, Dean was an attorney in private practice with the Kansas City firms of Armstrong, Teasdale, Schlafley & Davis and Burnstein & Beck, P.C. His practice areas emphasized estate planning, corporate tax planning, qualified retirement plans, individual income tax and charitable tax planning.

Dean received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1978 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 1983. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association.
