Whether you're nearing your 65th birthday or already there, you've probably got more questions about Medicare than concrete answers: What sorts of plans are available? Does it cover prescriptions and doctor visits? When and how should I enroll? Country Club Bank is here to help map out your best route to coverage.
Medicare is comprised of four distinct parts: Part A, B, C and D, each offering unique benefits and services. Supplemental policies are also available, which help cover costs of other services not covered by the quartet of Medicare's offerings. Based on your personal coverage needs, the different parts can be combined in a number of ways to best suit your needs.
Important: Generally, if you have a pre-existing condition this initial enrollment period may be your only chance to enroll in a Medigap plan! During this initial enrollment period, an insurer cannot deny those with pre-existing conditions enrollment in a Medicare supplement plan. The Medigap Open Enrollment period is the six-month period that starts on the first day of the month that you are both 65 or older and enrolled in Medicare Part B.
