About Country Club Bank | Kansas City’s Trusted Community Bank Since 1953
Country Club Bank is a leading Kansas City community bank providing personalized business banking and personal financial solutions. Since 1953, we’ve helped individuals and businesses plan, grow, and succeed with local expertise and relationship-driven service because we believe banking is about more than transactions. It’s about relationships, trust, and a shared commitment to the communities we serve.
Country Club Bank, a division of FNBO, is a privately held, family-led financial institution, offering the expertise and innovative solutions of a large financial organization with the personal service and local decision-making that only a community bank can provide.
Our History in Kansas City
Founded in 1953 as Ward Parkway Bank, Country Club Bank has been a cornerstone of the Kansas City community for more than seven decades. In 2025, Country Club Bank merged with FNBO, bringing together two unique and highly respected financial institutions, both of which were privately held with multi-generational family leadership. In 2026, Country Club Bank's 20 Kansas City branches will become FNBO, increasing our presence to 30 branches serving the Kansas City metro area, joining a network of 120 branches across a nine-state footprint. FNBO, a subsidiary of First National of Nebraska, Inc. (FNNI), is one of the largest privately held banks in the US and has been in business for more than 165 years. FNNI and its affiliates have over $34 billion in assets and 5,000 employees. Primary banking offices are located in Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming.
Through our history our focus has never changed: putting clients and community first, offering tailored financial solutions and fostering economic vitality in the region we call home.
Local Banking with a Community Approach
Our team doesn’t just serve Kansas City—we are part of it. We actively invest in the community through philanthropy, volunteerism and support for local businesses and organizations.
In addition to managing money, we build relationships, strengthen our home town and help our clients navigate their financial journey with confidence. By reinvesting in the people and places that make this city thrive, we ensure Kansas City remains a vibrant, opportunity-rich home for future generations.
We are proud to support nonprofit organizations making an impact across our footprint. Our philanthropic support tools include:
