Intern Spotlight 2024


Eddie – Loan Operations

Eddie Kuklenski will be a junior at Indiana University where he is majoring in finance and is involved in the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and the Indiana University Dance Marathon, a fundraiser for a children’s hospital. His favorite class so far at IU is International Business because it was interesting to learn how various countries do business and how different it is from the U.S.

Eddie, who is from Prairie Village, Kansas, wanted to intern at Country Club Bank because he always knew of the bank’s great reputation and saw working at CCB as an opportunity to learn and grow. His favorite pastime activities are hiking, camping and playing sports.


Tyler – Commercial Lending

Tyler Cullor, who grew up in Overland Park, Kansas will be a senior at the University of Nebraska. She is majoring in business administration, is a part of the Delta Gamma sorority and is involved in the business school. Her favorite class is International Economics because she likes learning all the theories and models people use and why countries trade with each other.

Tyler wanted to intern at Country Club Bank because she likes that it is a smaller bank offering a great opportunity to learn. She also has known people who work there who always had great things to say about it. Her favorite pastime activities are reading, going to the lake, being outside as well as shopping and trying different coffee places.


August – Commercial Credit Lending

August Thompson will be a sophomore at Georgetown University, where he is majoring in finance and accounting. He is involved in the club hockey team, investment club, and first-generation investors. His favorite class is Financial Accounting because he likes numbers.

August, who is from Kansas City, wanted to intern at Country Club Bank because he knew it would provide good experience, allow him to learn about the company, and work in an enjoyable environment. His favorite pastimes are watching sports and movies, hanging out with his friends and golfing.


Lydia – Digital Commercial Operations

Lydia Verbrugge will be a junior at Butler University, where she is majoring in marketing with a minor in psychology. On campus, Lydia is involved in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, intramural basketball and the Butler University Foundation. Her favorite class she has taken at Butler is Real Business Experience because she gained hands-on experience and learned more about running a business.

Lydia, who is from Lee Summit, Missouri, wanted to intern at Country Club Bank because she enjoys Kansas City and wants to learn more about the city and the organizations the bank is connected with. Her favorite pastimes are working out, going to the beach, being outside and walking her dog.


Molly – Marketing

Molly McCune will be a senior at the University of Kansas where she is majoring in marketing with a certificate in professional selling. She is involved in the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority as the Vice President of Internal Affairs. Her favorite class is Professional Selling Skills because she learned so much about the different aspects of sales and how sales skills can be applied beyond a job in sales.

Molly, who is from Leawood, Kansas, wanted to intern at Country Club Bank because she has always heard great things about the organization, its culture, and its focus on community. She saw it as a great opportunity to learn and grow. Her favorite pastimes include watching TV, hanging out with friends and going on walks.


Lucy – Marketing

Lucy Foley will be a senior at the University of Kansas, where she is majoring in digital marketing communications, advertising, and public relations with a minor in business. On campus, she is involved in the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and the advertising club. Her favorite class is Advanced Digital Marketing, Advertising, and PR because it was interesting to practice different communication tactics and create a campaign where she was able to evaluate media analytics.

Lucy is from Overland Park, Kansas. She wanted to intern at Country Club Bank because it is a local company she has heard only great things about and she wanted to experience that environment. Her favorite pastimes are watching movies, going on walks and hanging out with friends and family.


Will – Wealth Solutions

Will Eckels will be a junior at the University of Kansas, where he is majoring in finance and accounting. He is a Beta Theta Pi member and is involved in the Rock Chalk Investment Club and Jennett Finance Scholar program. His favorite class is Investment Theory because the teacher was challenging.

Will, who is from Kansas City, wanted to intern at Country Club Bank because of its inclusiveness and focus on the community. His favorite pastimes include watching sports, especially football and basketball, as well as playing chess and watching “Star Wars.”


Asher – CC Capital Advisors

Asher Denk will be a junior at the University of Kansas, where he is studying finance. On campus, he is involved in the investment club, the Jennett Finance Scholars program and the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. His favorite class was the honors seminar because he learned contract bridge and enjoyed meeting new people.

Asher, who grew up in Kansas City, has known the Country Club Bank brand his whole life. On the capital advisory side, he wanted to be exposed to a group that saw deal flow and work with lean deal teams where he could gain exposure to a variety of tasks within the deal process. His favorite pastime is hanging out with friends and golfing. 


Chris – CC Capital Advisors

Chris Tennant will be a senior year at Kansas State University, where he is studying finance and is on the school football team. His favorite class is an investment class because it introduced him to practical applications for his internship.

Chris is from Shawnee, Kansas, and has always known about Country Club Bank’s strong presence in Kansas City and wanted to work for them in the CC Capital Advisors division. In Chris’s free time, he loves going to the lake, hanging with friends and family, and fishing.


Moira – CC Capital Advisors

Moira Martin will be a junior at the University of North Carolina, where she is majoring in business administration. At UNC, she is involved in the Investment Banking Bootcamp and is an Equity Research Analyst for the Carolina Investment Groups. Her favorite class is Economics 101 because she loves to learn about the principles of economics. Taking the class has helped her foundationally as she continues her education within the business school.

Moira is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She wanted to intern at Country Club Bank because she loved the atmosphere, and enjoys the intricacies of investment banking and likes working alongside talented and diverse individuals. Her favorite pastimes include fitness, nutrition, traveling and spending time with friends and family.


Tommy – Facilities

Tommy Eckels recently graduated from Vanderbilt University and will be going back next fall to pursue a master’s in finance. At Vanderbilt, Tommy was involved with the football team and the Sigma Chi fraternity. His favorite class was astronomy because he enjoyed his teacher and found learning about the universe interesting.

Tommy, who is from Kansas City, knows that Country Club Bank is a great community bank with great connections. His brother works at the bank, and he is excited to get to work with him. Tommy’s favorite pastime activities are playing golf and hanging out with friends and family.
