Elder Abuse — Protect Yourself and Loved Ones
It is estimated that millions of U.S. elderly citizens suffer from abuse, neglect and financial exploitation each year. Protect yourself and your loved ones by making a financial plan, taking preventative steps and knowing a scam when you see one.
Tips for protecting your money:
- Don't sign blank checks and allow another person to fill in the amount
- Use direct deposit for your checks
- Don't sign anything you don't understand
